Gramacho Description

The Gramacho Golf Course near Carvoeiro in the Algarve was originally a nine hole course which has been extended and cleverly redesigned to become a fully fledged interesting 18 hole course. A formidable challenge to its designer! The course covers undulating terrain with olive, almond and carob trees scattered as planted years before by the local farmers. The Gramacho Course is designed for the player to be technically accurate and to know which club to choose before hitting the ball. Anything less will quickly increase his score.

Nice course, greens not in the best nick- when offered hire club set, consisted of graphite & steel shaft irons

Good maintained only the greens are very slow, too much sand. It is a pity that there is now outlay in the golfcourse. So for a new golfer is it difficult to see where your drives have to go.

Really enjoyed this course with it's rolling landscape. Many fairways were bordered with colourful bushes and elegant villas . Greens are tricky and very large. A good test of golf.
