Every year that we play in the Algarve this course is on our program, despite the sometimes dangerous paths for buggies and despite the sometimes vague signage and the absence of signs at the holes (often quite blind holes) and a course booklet and despite the absence of distance markers, but simply because the course is beautiful and in great condition. Floresta is simply a must.

The course itself has an attractive layout with many elevation changes and sloping fairways. However, these fairways often have little playable rough and often go directly into forest or ravine, so that the slightest deviation on a long drive is immediately punished with a lost ball. If you do not know the course, this is sometimes very frustrating given the many blind holes. The strongly undulating greens were often bad with many bumps, holes etc., and therefore do not offer a fair chance to score. In short: nice course, but the maintenance really needs to be better.

Very challenging course, lots of variation in holes, in excellent condition, greens very tight with lots of undulation and fast and therefore very difficult. As the only relative minus point I have to mention that on some holes you cant get on the course with the buggy for long stretches and then you have to walk up and down from the path which influences focus.

Twee geweldig goed onderhouden banen, helemaal top, zelfs nog beter dan menige andere topbaan in de AlgarveDe banen bevatten ook geweldig interessante holes met onverwachte nooit eerder geziene uitdagingenEn toch … ook een beetje een teleurstellende bijsmaakWant, de lay out van de banen lijkt niet echt te kloppen, het design is niet consistent, de holes lijken niet goed op elkaar afgestemdHet lijkt wel alsof er veel aan de banen is gewijzigd, in de zin van oude en nieuwe holes, holes door elkaar gehusseld Daardoor bijvoorbeeld een groot verschil bij Royal course tussen de eerste en tweede negen en sommige holes zijn dan toch een beetje saai

Morgado is een heel goed onderhouden baan, lang maar breed, zonder uitspringende holes en/of hindernissen, zodat je er heel goed kunt scoren en dat is voor de afwisseling ook wel eens leuk in de AlgarveKortom: niets mis mee voor een keer

Fantastisch mooie en zeer uitdagende baan, vooral met windkracht 5 een enorme tester, geweldig goede teeboxen, fairways top, greens uitstekendBuggy is een must en tevens het enige negatieve wat er valt te melden, de paren zijn namelijk smal, stijl en soms best wel gladMaar, dit is zeker niet onze laatste keer dat wij er spelen

De baan is in alle opzichten fantastisch.De service daarentegen is ver onder de maat, zeer onvriendelijk, ongeïnteresseerd, Het personeel is alleen bezig zo snel mogelijk naar huis te gaan.

For the average golfer, who plays this course for the first time, this is too difficult a course, too many blind holes, too many obstacles where you sometimes need a very long drive. What is worse, I think, is that with this hefty green fee you would expect a course that is better maintained. However, a very challenging design, with a lot of variation, and never boring. So we will try it a second time.

For the average golfer this is a great course, well maintained, challenging design, lots of variety, never boring.

Compared with other Pestana courses Silves is different, with very difficult rough and a lot of “ high versus low”. A Nice test for a change.
