Quinta do Lago South Description

The 18 hole championship Quinta do Lago South Golf Course located within the luxury estate of Quinta do Lago and was redesigned in 2014. The original course was used several times for the Portuguese Open. The course favours the long hitter, but requires the player to pick a particular route to score well. Although both anti-clockwise loops, the first nine suggests a draw, whilst the second favours a fade from the tee.

Holes 3, 15 and 17, feature lakes that must be negotiated. Holes 8, 10, 15 and 18, are the most testing for the scratch player while Holes 2,3,5,12, 13 and 17, offer the best possibilities of birdies. An enjoyable game experience for players of all standards.

Great course, very challenging and some amazing houses you’ll see at you work through 18. Greens run very true, staff seemed somewhat snobby/pretentious (including those at KOKO & Noa Cafe) but overall had a decent experience. Good value.
A beautiful but challenging golf course.

Beautiful course, but on the difficult side. Pace of play was good. Completed round in around 4 hours. Marshalls did a good job overseeing place of play. Greens & fairways were in good shape. Just stay out of rough & areas around sand traps where grass is thick & hard to get out of, unless you are use to it. Only down side is we couldn’t find a WC / toilet on course. Might be one someplace. Enjoyed the food at the cafe. Friendly staff.

The standard all other courses should be looking to achieve. Was in great condition in December 24 when I played it and again in July 25. Love this place.

We were rushed by a 2 Ball behind us and a very slow 3 Ball in front of us. What is very annoying is that there are no signes saying till where you can drive with your buggy, when you pass the line the screen is saying Go Back, taking minutes sometimes to do
